Seasons, Weather, and Events

How seasonal calendars, weather modifiers, and double-delivery weeks change your daily farming routine.

Sunflower Land runs on seasonal chapters with timed events, weather effects, and rotating rewards. The core loop stays the same — plant, craft, deliver — but what is profitable shifts every few weeks. Calendar-aware players earn more tickets with less grind.

Chapter structure

Each chapter introduces:

  • A seasonal ticket track (free and premium pass rewards)
  • Limited NPCs, quests, and crafting recipes
  • Auctions and megastore rotations for cosmetics and boosts
  • Faction and community milestones (Chapter race)

Manager tracks live stats on Stats info and historical auctions on Auctions info. Use them to see what is ending soon versus worth long-term investment.

Weather on your farm

Weather is a short-term modifier affecting crops, fish, or activity yields. Examples include sun bonuses, storms that slow plots, or frost patterns depending on the current design patch. Weather is not fully player-controlled — you adapt rather than ignore it.

Practical responses:

  • Shift deliveries toward items unaffected by today's modifier.
  • Delay planting expensive seeds until favorable windows when guides or in-game forecasts hint at change.
  • Stock flexible ingredients (eggs, wheat, base fish) that work in many recipes.
Check daily: One minute on home and Deliveries info beats planting a full field of the wrong crop.

Double delivery and bonus weeks

Double delivery events (and similar multipliers) pay extra coins, tickets, or flowers for NPC orders. These are the best days to:

  1. Clear stock bottlenecks (Stock limits).
  2. Burn stored cooked meals and crafted goods.
  3. Spend gems on speed-ups only if marginal profit stays positive (P2P calc).

Prepare before the event: hoard delivery items without capping storage, level bumpkin if orders need higher-tier food, and align Cooking batches.

Event type Prep 48h ahead During event
Double delivery Cook bulk, free barn slots Fulfill highest ticket orders first
Bonus tickets Finish Pete/chapter quests Prioritize ticket-per-minute orders
Weather boost Plant matching crops Harvest on peak day if timed

Seasonal vs permanent progress

Permanent: bumpkin XP, expansions, skills, most buildings, stock upgrades.

Seasonal: ticket track levels, some cosmetics, chapter currencies, leaderboard placements.

Do not skip permanent maintenance for a week-long event — returning players with higher level gates suffer more than missing one cosmetic tier.

Quest and chore cadence

Seasons add quests on top of daily chores. Pumpkin Pete and chapter NPCs rotate tasks; Manager mirrors quest logs via Quests info. Knock out chores early each day so event quests stack rather than compete for the same resources.

Planning with Manager

Between seasons

When a chapter ends, unredeemed track rewards may expire — claim before cutoff. Megastore and pass progress reset; skills and land remain. Use downtime to expand, respec skills on Skill trainer, and rebalance stock for the next meta.
