Factions — Four Houses and Shared Goals
Joining a faction, emblems, collective milestones, and reading live standings in Manager.
Factions split the player base into four houses competing on seasonal marks, deliveries, and chapter objectives. Joining a faction is a social choice with mechanical rewards — perks when your house leads, shared sinks when trailing, and community coordination during races.
The four factions
Each faction has identity, emblem art, and NPC flavor. Names and exact perk tables change by chapter — do not memorize old wiki tables. Instead, open Factions util in Manager for live standings, member counts, and milestone progress synced from official sources.
Pick for activity, not color. A house with engaged officers beats a slight perk on paper if your timezone never overlaps events.
Joining and switching
You typically commit to a faction for a chapter or season window. Switch rules may restrict mid-season hops to prevent abuse — confirm in-game before alt-hopping. Faction choice does not reset your farm NFT, skills, or expansions (Getting started).
Steps when choosing:
- Read current standings on Factions util.
- Ask how the house coordinates deliveries (Deliveries guide).
- Match schedule to your play hours — streaks reward consistency.
- Accept that faction metas rotate; long-term friends matter more than one win.
Marks and collective goals
Chapters assign faction marks for categorized contributions — deliveries, crafted goods, fishing, etc. Houses race toward thresholds unlocking boosts, cosmetics, or shop access for members.
Personal efficiency still matters:
- Do not donate goods that cost more than solo ticket gain (Deliveries info).
- Sync big pushes with double delivery or weather bonuses (Seasons calendar).
- Use Quests info for faction-adjacent NPC tasks.
Emblems and cosmetics
Emblems display house allegiance on profiles and wearables slots depending on season design. Cosmetics are prestige — budget FLOWER for functional expansions and auctions first (Chapter race, Marketplace).
Coordination tools
Manager is read-only for factions — use it to verify standings, not to chat. Pair with your house Discord or in-game plazas for callouts. home land search helps officers audit member progress when public data is shared voluntarily.
Officers should publish daily priorities ("fish orders + honey") instead of vague "grind marks."
Factions vs solo play
Solo players can ignore faction chat and still earn personal chapter track rewards. Factions help when:
- You want structured event nights
- House perks multiply your main loop (Skills guide, Cooking XP)
- You enjoy marketplace bulk trades with trusted mates (Trade)
Skip heavy faction obligation if you play casually — neglected commitments frustrate both you and the house.
After the chapter ends
Standings reset visually; relationships persist. Evaluate whether your house stayed active before recommitting. Manager historical pages like Auctions info show how prior chapters priced faction-linked items — useful for budgeting the next race.
Reading standings on Manager
Factions util is the quickest sanity check when you return from a break:
- Rank order — which house leads and by how much
- Mark totals — whether the race is close enough for a coordinated push
- Your contribution context — compare personal deliveries to house averages via public farm data on home
Refresh after major game patches; perk text in Discord screenshots may be stale while Manager syncs from official endpoints.
Fair play and expectations
Faction rewards assume good-faith grinding, not exploits. Report bugs through official channels instead of racing to abuse them — retroactive fixes can wipe marks. Officers should set minimum weekly activity expectations upfront so casual members are not guilted into unsustainable schedules.
If your house is inactive, switching before the next chapter lock may improve both rewards and morale — just confirm switch rules in-client first.
Next step
Plan token spend for the seasonal finish line in Chapter race, or refine personal builds on Skills.
